Job summary

Capital One is building an enterprise Generative AI Platform and seeks a Distinguished AI Engineer to help scale agentic workflows and guardrails across millions of users. You will design orchestration, memory, and RAG pipelines, and contribute to living diagrams, APIs, and multi-tenant policy enforcement.

You will mentor teams, craft secure GenAI SDKs and starter kits, optimize performance, and drive RFCs on memory and multimodal guardrails while collaborating with architects across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI required or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years programming experience in Python, Go, Scala or Java.
• 2+ years deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
• Experience with agentic frameworks and LLM-Ops is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Contribute to platform architecture, APIs, and multi-tenant policy enforcement.
• Standardize and automate agentic workflows using leading frameworks.
• Develop end-to-end GenAI SDKs, CLIs and starter kits for quick production.
• Help implement guardrails, content filtering, and audit APIs for safety.
• Optimize orchestration and performance, drive RFCs on memory and RAG.
