Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Distinguished AI Engineer for the Agentic AI Platform, with remote eligibility. You will partner with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products and to harden enterprise-grade SLAs.

Responsibilities include shaping platform architecture, evaluating frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, LlamaIndex), building end-to-end GenAI SDKs, and developing guardrails and audit APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI with 10+ years of AI/ML experience.
• At least 10 years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Develop the north star platform architecture and APIs for agent orchestration.
• Evaluate agentic frameworks and optimize for enterprise SLAs.
• Create GenAI SDK, CLI, and starter kits for rapid prototyping.
• Build guardrail services and audit APIs to prevent incidents.
• Drive performance improvements and cost reductions.
• Lead and mentor engineers and represent Capital One at conferences.
