Job summary

Board of Innovation seeks an AI Engagement Lead to drive complex client engagements in enterprise AI, partnering with senior leaders to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and guide cross-functional teams from strategy through execution and adoption.

You’ll work with Directors and the MD of Applied AI to translate business needs into AI-enabled value, bridging business cases with prototypes and scalable adoption. Prior hands-on AI work is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience including at least 2 years in management, strategy, technology, or transformation consulting for enterprise clients.
• Experience taking AI products, solutions, or use cases from problem definition through prototype, build, deployment, or adoption.
• Demonstrated hands-on use of modern AI tools in your own work; built workflows, automations, copilots, agents, or other practical AI solutions.
• Experience leading significant workstreams or owning delivery for strategy or transformation engagements.
• Experience with the broader transformation required to make AI stick — whether through business cases, roadmaps, operating models, capability building, adoption, or change.
• Experience contributing to proposal development, engagement scoping, or growing existing client accounts.
• Strong ability to translate between business ambition and technical feasibility
• Comfort operating in complex stakeholder environments with senior leaders

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client delivery across multiple workstreams, maintaining a high bar.
• Structure work, set priorities, and keep cross-functional teams moving.
• Navigate ambiguity with confidence and solve problems with pragmatic decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders through workshops and structured problem-solving.
• Stay hands-on in the work while aligning with the client’s next steps.
• Translate business priorities into AI opportunities worth pursuing.
• Lead product discovery with client teams and end users to map workflows and define problems.
• Shape AI products from concept through prototype, build, deployment, and adoption.
• Define what to build first, what success looks like, and what to cut to stay on value path.
• Lead AI engineers, designers, and client teams to align business needs with technical feasibility.
• Prototype and test ideas using modern AI tools, agents, workflows, and automations.
• Ground work in real users and measurable outcomes rather than tech for tech’s sake.
• Connect the work to the broader transformation: business case, roadmap, operating model, and adoption
