Job summary

Kong is building a new AI Enablement team to embed AI into how work gets done across the company. As a Senior AI Enablement Specialist you will work directly with business units to design AI-powered workflows, automate bottlenecks, and deliver measurable time savings.

You will coach teammates, ensure reusable solutions, and help Kong maintain governance standards with IT, Security, and Engineering. This role offers broad impact across Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Legal, and Customer Success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical or cross-functional role delivering AI-powered tools or workflows.
• Proven track record of building tools that materially improve real work.
• Experience coaching others to develop technical skills.
• Clear, concise communication with non-technical audiences.
• Comfort with ambiguity and self-direction in IT-enabled environments.
• Experience in IT or business operations support across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with business teams to map workflows, tools, pain points, and outputs.
• Build AI-powered workflows, automations, and custom tools to save time.
• Coach team members one-on-one and in sessions to grow AI capabilities.
• Identify reusable solutions that can scale across the organization.
• Establish a framework to track AI adoption and report to IT leadership regularly.
• Set documentation standards for tools, workflows, and learnings.
• Develop Kong's internal AI governance standards with IT, Security, and Engineering.
• Mentor junior members and interns with actionable feedback.
• Stay current on AI developments and translate them into Kong-specific applications.
