Job summary

Kong is hiring a Staff Product Manager for AI Management to lead the product vision and roadmap for AI-related modules. You will collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and executives to ensure integration with Kong’s platform and accelerate time to market for AI-enabled features.

You will own lifecycle from specs to backlog prioritization, balancing feature delivery with technical debt, while engaging customers and regional teams to validate product-market fit and drive developer

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of technical product management experience in developer tools, API platforms, or AI infrastructure.
• Ability to translate complex technical challenges (MCP servers, routing, data planes) into actionable requirements.
• Proven track record driving execution and managing dependencies across globally distributed R&D teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication to articulate strategy across functions and levels.
• Deep project management instincts to track work, surface blockers, and keep roadmaps on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute the product vision and roadmap for AI Management modules, driving core capabilities around agentic harnesses, LLM routing, policies, context, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Lead cross-departmental strategy across engineering, design, product marketing, and leadership to align roadmaps without friction.
• Own full lifecycle of product modules by writing specs, prioritizing backlogs, and balancing new features with debt and dependencies.
• Drive cross-product work linking AI Management to Kong’s core platform infrastructure for seamless data and control plane integration.
• Speed up high-velocity delivery cadences with engineering leads to scope work, navigate trade-offs, and accelerate time to market.
• Support regional field activities, customer-facing engagements, and sales enablement to validate product-market fit and developer delight.
