Job summary

Hireclout is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to design and deliver reusable backend capabilities and cloud-native services. You’ll enable application teams to build at scale on a secure, observable platform using agentic AI and AWS infrastructure.

The role emphasizes architecture ownership, production reliability, and collaboration with teams to ensure safe, scalable migrations and robust testing. Fully remote in the United States.

Qualifications

• Deep server-side engineering experience in Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, or Go
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals: API/event contracts, concurrency, idempotency, consistency
• Hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads
• Comfortable with containers, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD
• Experience building shared backend foundations with compatibility and adoption in mind
• Reliability and security engineering experience in production
• Agentic AI is your primary development surface and you can verify correctness

Responsibilities

• Design and build shared platform capabilities and reusable backend services
• Make AWS infrastructure usable through software abstractions and integration patterns
• Direct implementation via AI agents and step into code when needed
• Engineer for reuse, backward compatibility, safe migrations and verifiable behavior
• Own the testing strategy and validate generated tests evidence
• Build reliability, security, and observability into the platform
• Own production outcomes and platform adoption across teams
• Remain accountable for full lifecycle from planning to production
