Job summary

Hireclout is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States to lead AI-assisted engineering initiatives within a broad modernization effort spanning web, mobile, and a unified design system. You will work with Product and Design to shape system design, data models, APIs, and reliability practices, directing AI-enabled tooling rather than hand‑coding everything.

The role emphasizes architectural decision making, design leadership, and hands-on validation of AI-generated code and tests,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack development experience.
• Deep server-side experience with modern languages and owning services end to end.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, REST contracts, versioning, OAuth2/OIDC, and SQL under load.
• Experience with async/event-driven systems in production (Kafka or comparable).
• Experience operating production systems at scale on AWS or Azure, including containers, Kubernetes/serverless, IaC, and CI/CD, with on-call ownership.
• Defensible testing strategy across unit, integration, and contract levels.
• Reliability/security ownership including SLOs, incident leadership, OWASP, and PHI/HIPAA or similar data experience.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI as a primary development surface.

Responsibilities

• Frame problems and plan system design with Product and Design.
• Decompose work and guide AI agents to build, with hands-on debugging when needed.
• Own testing strategy and ensure appropriate coverage with AI-generated tests.
• Build in security, reliability, and observability from the start.
• Review all work with rigor and manage incidents and post-mortems.
• Coach engineers to design, delegate, and validate AI-driven work.
