Job summary

Lyra Health is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - Internal Efficiency in the United States to embed AI into internal workflows and raise efficiency across the company. You will own the full lifecycle from discovery to deployment, delivering measurable outcomes in Python/Java microservices and apps.

You will collaborate with data science, product, design, security, and operations to drive adoption and scale AI-powered tools, maintaining a high bar for quality and responsible data use.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related field.
• 6+ years of experience building web apps.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production.
• Ability to elicit requirements from non-engineering stakeholders.
• Strong judgment on AI usefulness vs. risk in healthcare.
• Highly proactive with autonomy to decide what to build next.

Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to map workflows and scope AI-driven solutions.
• Own full lifecycle from discovery to deployment and iteration.
• Build and improve AI-powered tools, agents, and automations.
• Integrate with Python and Java microservices, apps, and third-party systems.
• Drive adoption and measure efficiency gains.
• Define and track impact metrics and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with data science, product, design, security, and operations.
• Promote best practices across all phases of software development.
• Ensure responsible handling of sensitive data in AI workflows.
