Job summary

Lyra Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to accelerate internal efficiency by embedding AI into workflows. You will partner with engineering, product, data science, security, and clinical teams to design, build, and ship AI-powered tools and agents in production.

You will own outcomes, drive adoption, and measure impact on time savings, throughput, quality, and cost, with hybrid work options from our US-based teams.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications using Python or Java/Spring.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production: agentic tools, prompt engineering, evals, workflows.
• Ability to elicit requirements from non-engineering stakeholders and drive adoption of shipped software.
• Strong judgment about AI benefits vs. risks, especially in healthcare context.

Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to map workflows and scope AI-driven solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Own full lifecycle: discovery, prototyping, deployment, adoption, measurement, iteration.
• Build and improve AI-powered tools, agents, integrations with microservices, web and mobile apps.
• Drive adoption of agentic software development and expand internal capabilities.
• Define and track metrics proving impact and communicate results to leadership.
• Collaborate with data science, product, design, security, and operations.
