Job summary

Lyra Health in South San Francisco, CA seeks a Staff Software Engineer - Internal Efficiency to embed AI-powered solutions across engineering, product, and operations. You will own end-to-end delivery from discovery through deployment, focusing on adoption and measurable efficiency gains, not just code.

You’ll work directly with internal teams, map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and build tools that integrate with Python and Java microservices, web and mobile apps, and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production: agentic tools and frameworks, prompt engineering, evals.
• Ability to elicit requirements from non-engineering stakeholders and drive adoption of built solutions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to map workflows, identify bottlenecks, and scope AI-driven solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Own full lifecycle from discovery to deployment, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
• Build and improve AI-powered tools, agents, and automations integrated with Python/Java microservices, web and mobile apps, and third-party systems.
• Drive integration of agentic software development across engineering and scale adoption.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools, run fast experiments, and convert winners into durable capabilities.
• Define and track metrics proving impact and communicate results to stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with data science, product management, design, security, and operations teams to refine designs.
