Job summary

VERSANT Media in Englewood Cliffs, NJ seeks an equity analyst to build an AI-powered research engine. You will translate fundamental research into scalable software, models, and AI-enabled products, collaborating with engineering and senior leadership in a fast-paced, meritocratic environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years buy-side investing, strong forensic accounting, and a proven ability to perform long-term fundamental analysis across sectors; experience with LLM workflows in equity

Qualifications

• 4+ years of buy-side public markets investing experience with a focus on long-term fundamental analysis.
• Experience contributing to a rigorous, process-driven strategy at a buy-side firm.
• Practical LLM workflow experience in equity research (prompt/context engineering; structured extraction).
• Experience programming, coding or working with data; collaboration with engineering on automated features.
• Systematic thinker with ability to translate research into scalable, repeatable strategies.
• Multi-sector experience with a track record driving long-term investment decisions.
• Strong forensic accounting knowledge and three-statement modeling.

Responsibilities

• Convert equity research insights into scalable AI equity research platform features for stock discovery and selection.
• Design and evaluate LLM-based workflows to process unstructured data into structured metrics.
• Develop sector-based factor models using fundamental research and quantitative techniques.
• Oversee stock-picking model alignment for a large retail audience and produce structured reports.
• Partner with Engineering to implement pipelines, backtests, and ship analysis features.
