Job summary

VERSANT Media, part of CNBC, is seeking an equity analyst to build a scalable AI-powered equity research platform. You will work with senior analysts, engineers, and product teams to convert fundamental research into automated features and signals.

You will contribute to long-term investment theses, develop factor models, and translate research into structured outputs for individual investors, with a focus on durable, data-driven insights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years buy-side public markets investing experience.
• Experience working with data and collaborating with Engineering to design automated equity analysis features.
• Ability to read financial statements and build three-statement models.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to convert equity research insights into scalable AI equity research platform features.
• Design and evaluate LLM-based workflows to process unstructured data into structured metrics.
• Support development and evaluation of sector-based factor models using fundamental research and quantitative techniques.
• Conduct deep research and initiations across public equities.
• Contribute to stock-picking models and structured reports for retail investors.
• Partner with Engineering to implement pipelines and backtests, and ship analysis features.
