Job summary

VERSANT Media, LLC is seeking a highly driven equity analyst to help build a new generation of AI-powered equity research. This role blends fundamental research with software and models, enabling scalable, data-driven insights for individual investors.

You will design LLM workflows, translate unstructured data into signals, and collaborate with engineering and leadership in a fast-moving, autonomous team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of buy-side public markets investing experience, currently employed at a hedge fund or recently
• Experience contributing to a rigorous, process-driven strategy at a buy-side firm, including idea generation, research, and portfolio analysis
• Practical LLM workflow experience in equity research workflows (prompt/context engineering; structured extraction; error analysis)
• Experience programming, coding or working with data, collaborating with Engineering to design automated equity analysis features
• Systemic, data driven thinker with the ability to translate fundamental research into a repeatable, systematic strategy
• Multi-sector experience and ability to independently perform fundamental research across sectors
• Strong forensic accounting knowledge, experience building three-statements and sector-wide models

Responsibilities

• Convert equity research insights into scalable AI equity research platform features
• Design and evaluate LLM-based workflows to process unstructured data into structured metrics
• Develop and evaluate sector-based factor models using fundamental research and quantitative methods
• Oversee stock-picking models alignment for a large retail audience and produce reports
• Partner with Engineering to implement pipelines, backtests/evaluations, and ship features
