Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to develop AI agents and experiences for real organizations, working with prominent enterprises. You will design agent intelligence, own end-to-end components, and build data pipelines across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks.

You’ll collaborate with customers and senior engineers, stay at the forefront of AI tooling, and travel ~25% to customer sites. A CS-related degree and production delivery experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (6-10 years for Senior levels) of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Strong data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to engage with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with rigor.
• Willing to travel ~25% to work directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations in production.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, APIs integration.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Model the data and ship pipelines, validate outputs.
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting for deployment health and outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs moving from sketch to deployable in days.
• Collaborate with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement.
