Job summary

Salesforce, the leading AI CRM company, seeks Forward Deployed Engineers to craft real AI-driven customer solutions and ship impactful agentic systems. You will collaborate with senior engineers and deployment strategists, owning end-to-end components and building pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks.

You’ll design prompts, integrate APIs, and push frontier models while traveling ~25% to work directly with customers and teams across product and sales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years (6-10 years for Senior levels) of software engineering or technical delivery experience, ideally in an AI tech stack or frontier models.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, forward deployed engineering).
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; willing to add more as needed.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; able to explain failures and improvements.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Able to collaborate with sales teams and customer architects.
• Ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Thrive in a collaborative environment and travel ~25% with customers.

• Design and implement data pipelines and integration patterns.
• Build agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.

• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices.
• Identify platform gaps and provide actionable feedback to product team.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate challenges into ship-ready solutions.
