Job summary

Samsara is hiring for a Marketing Data and Analytics role within MDA Engineering. You will design, build, and operate production AI systems, architect marketing databases, and partner with the BI team to expand analytics.

You’ll translate business questions into scalable data solutions, automate workflows, and own data quality while mentoring peers. The role emphasizes Python/SQL excellence, agentic AI tooling, and a flexible remote model with aspirational total rewards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or AI engineering with hands-on data engineering.
• Expert Python and SQL with strong data modeling.
• Built and shipped systems using LLMs or agents in production.
• Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-verified outputs.
• Deep experience with modern data stack (ETL/ELT, data warehouses).
• Ability to gather requirements independently and automate workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production AI systems including agent orchestration and API integrations.
• Architect and maintain marketing databases, pipelines, and CDP for segmentation and analytics.
• Partner with BI team to expand conversational analytics across marketing.
• Automate manual workflows using AI from concept to production.
• Stand up new data pipelines end-to-end with minimal onboarding.
• Own reliability and data quality of built systems.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, R&D to translate questions into scalable solutions.
• Ship high-quality Python/SQL and review AI-generated outputs.
