Job summary

Eaton’s Corporate Information Technology team seeks a Principal AI Data Engineer to turn governance architecture into production capabilities across data quality, observability, metadata, lineage and AI agents, reporting to the Senior Manager - Data Governance.

Based in Raleigh or other US hubs, you will own enterprise data health, Atlan catalog connections, Snowflake governance schemas and cross-system lineage, while guiding the AI-readiness certification and agent estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on data governance experience with production data quality, metadata, lineage and pipelines on cloud data platforms.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for CPT, OPT, or visa programs.

Responsibilities

• Turn governance architecture into production data capabilities for data quality, observability, metadata, lineage and AI agents.
• Own data catalog connections, lineage and data governance schemas in Snowflake.
• Design and operate the AI-readiness certification pipeline for agent consumable data.
• Build enterprise data quality, observability and alerting across systems.
• Collaborate with Master Data Management, Data and AI Platforms, Architecture and stewardship networks.
