Job summary

Eaton seeks a Principal AI Data Engineer to lead governance architecture turning into production capabilities for data quality, observability, lineage, and AI agents. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Data Governance and drives standards across the Data Governance program.

As a senior individual contributor, you will own data health initiatives, Atlan/Snowflake governance, and the AI certification pipeline, while collaborating with Master Data Management and AI platforms teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on data governance experience with production data quality, metadata, lineage and pipeline capabilities on cloud data platforms.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data quality capability including enterprise data health and quality scorecards.
• Develop full‑stack data observability with alerting and ticketing linked to data quality.
• Own and design Data Governance AI agents, including evaluation and accuracy thresholds.
• Manage connections within the Atlan data catalog and establish SDK/API workflows.
• Maintain cross‑system data lineage across platforms and ensure Snowflake schemas are accurate.
• Engineer and run the AI‑readiness certification pipeline for agent‑consumable data products.
• Build and maintain enterprise AI data pipelines and catalog integration.
