Eaton is seeking a Principal AI Data Engineer to advance its Data Governance Program. You will lead governance architecture turning data quality, observability, metadata and lineage into production capabilities across the enterprise. This role reports to the Senior Manager - Data Governance and is an individual contributor with no direct reports.

The position involves building AI-readiness, managing Atlan and Snowflake schemas, and partnering with multiple data domains. Travel 10–20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree and hands-on data governance experience required.
• Proven delivery of production data quality, metadata and lineage on cloud platforms.
• Experience building or operating AI or agent-based solutions.
• Relocation assistance not available; must be local to hubs.

Responsabilités

• Build and operate enterprise data quality capability and governance AI agents.
• Own connections within the enterprise data catalog and data lineage across platforms.
• Design, evaluate and operate AI readiness certification and agent estate.
• Develop retrieval pipelines for unstructured data with entitlements in metadata.
• Set sprint-level technical goals and provide direction to governance engineers.
• Collaborate with Master Data Management, Platforms, and Architecture teams.
