Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist, AI Governance to lead the technical direction of the AI Governance pod. You will design, build, and operate the AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, and policy‑as‑code capabilities, mentoring three engineers and aligning with AI Architects, Cyber, Legal, Privacy, and Responsible AI groups.

The role emphasizes production code, engineering standards, and end‑to‑end responsibility for scalable, observable AI platforms within Eaton’s Data & AI

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of software engineering experience, with three (3) years hands-on building LLM and agent‑based production systems.
• Must reside within 50 miles of a US Eaton location and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• No relocation offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction and engineering practices for the pod as a hands‑on IC.
• Design, build, and run AI Control Tower, AgentOps, AI Funnel, and AI FinOps capabilities.
• Engineer observability, monitoring, compliance, and alerting across Eaton’s AI estate.
• Lead with AI-native patterns (LLM apps, agents, RAG, workflows) as core components.
• Translate policy and risk requirements into working software with cross‑functional partners.
• Own architecture for complex, integrated systems and manage the full LLM lifecycle.
• Drive secure SDLC, IaC, and automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
