Job summary
Eaton is seeking a Principal AI Data Engineer to lead governance architecture and production capabilities for data quality, metadata, lineage, and AI agents. You will set technical standards for Eaton’s Data Governance Program and own enterprise data health, Atlan catalog connections, and Snowflake governance schemas.
You will also design and run the AI-readiness certification pipeline, build retrieval-ready pipelines for unstructured data, and guide data governance engineers with sprint-level
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on data governance experience, including production data quality, metadata, and lineage on cloud platforms.
- Experience building or operating AI or agent-based solutions.
- Strong SQL/Python and data engineering capabilities with scalable pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build enterprise data quality capabilities and executive scorecards.
- Develop full-stack data observability with alerting and ticketing.
- Design and operate Data Governance AI agents and catalog connections.
- Own cross-system data lineage and Snowflake governance schemas.
- Engineer AI-readiness pipelines with machine-readable definitions and embedded permissions.
- Collaborate with Master Data Management and Data & AI Platforms teams.
