Samsara Inc. is seeking an experienced Data/AI Engineer within the Marketing Data and Analytics team to shape the technical roadmap for data and AI foundations.

You will design Databricks pipelines, Gold Layer tables, and semantic models to turn complex business challenges into high-value data products and automation. You will collaborate with BI and Data Science peers to enable self-serve analytics, build reliable pipelines, and mentor teammates while advancing AI-driven solutions across

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI engineering.
• Expert-level Python and SQL, with strong data modeling and DBT experience.
• Deep experience with data warehouse/lakehouse architectures, ETL/ELT, and the modern data stack.
• Experience building AI/LLM/agent systems in production.

Responsabilidades

• Define strategy and multi-quarter roadmaps for the MDA data and AI foundation.
• Architect and own Samsara's marketing data infrastructure: ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks Gold Layer tables, and core data models.
• Design semantic layers, data dictionaries, and structured documentation for self-serve BI.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into scalable AI-enabled data products and agents.
• Lead complex, cross-team initiatives end to end: stand up new data pipelines and integrations.
• Serve as the senior technical lead: raise the bar for engineering quality and code review.
• Drive strategic use of AI to solve high-impact problems: build AI-enabled data products and agents.
• Identify and automate manual workflows with AI across Marketing and GTM teams.
• Ship high-quality Python and SQL, review AI-generated work before production.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally.
