Job summary

G2i Inc. seeks a highly experienced software engineer (SR+/Staff/Principal) to evaluate the quality of interactions with AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor. You won't write production code; you'll assess whether the model thinks like a great engineer.

This remote, worldwide role focuses on evaluating usefulness of reasoning and engineering judgment, with clear, opinionated feedback to shape what great looks like when using AI tools.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted dev workflows.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness, high-level correctness, and engineering judgment.
• Assess quality of explanations and reasoning, not just the code.
• Distinguish between levels of response quality and provide feedback.
• Help define what great looks like when working with AI tools.
