Job summary

Bamboo Works is seeking a Senior AI Automation Engineer for a fully remote, independent contractor role. You will design and deliver sophisticated automation and AI-powered business solutions, combining strong software development with deep automation expertise.

You will build end‑to‑end integrations, implement retrieval-augmented generation workflows, and architect scalable systems using n8n, Make.com, Zapier, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software development with automation engineering experience.
• Proficient with n8n and Make.com for complex workflows.
• Strong HubSpot CRM knowledge including data structures and automations.
• Experience building RAG-based AI systems with LLMs and embeddings.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of APIs, webhooks, databases and authentication.
• Experience delivering AI-powered workflows and agents.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex automation workflows using n8n, Make.com, and Zapier.
• Develop end-to-end integrations connecting business apps, APIs, databases, CRMs, and AI models.
• Build and optimize HubSpot CRM automations.
• Develop AI-powered solutions and agents for sales, research, customer support.
• Troubleshoot and optimize workflows for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop custom integrations using JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
• Design architectures involving APIs, webhooks, databases, and authentication.
• Build RAG systems with LLMs, embeddings, document retrieval and vector databases.
• Evaluate platforms and create custom solutions when off-the-shelf tools fail.
• Apply software engineering and cybersecurity best practices.
