Job summary
BambooHR is seeking a Senior Agentic Software Engineer to lead complex AI-enabled features and shape technical direction across multiple workstreams. You will mentor engineers, define agent specifications, and ensure production readiness with strong emphasis on security and reliability.
You’ll work with product, design, and support to align technical direction with business goals, while advancing BambooHR’s mission to empower people and transform HR through AI-driven solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems.
- Proven track record using AI coding agents to deliver features across parallel workstreams.
- Proficiency in designing systems and data models for scalable software.
- Strong ability to write specifications and technical docs for humans and agents.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions beyond own features.
Responsibilities
- Shape technical direction across multiple workstreams and agents.
- Write precise agent specifications with clear constraints and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee end-to-end feature lifecycle from spec to production monitoring.
- Mentor engineers on agentic crafts and cross-team collaboration.
- Define safe-release and reliability standards, including CI/CD and feature flags.
