Dev Technology Group seeks a data scientist with hands-on Databricks and Genie experience to transform how users query enterprise data. You will build AI-powered analytics, enable natural language data access, and accelerate decision-making across our federal-focused teams.

The role combines data science, data engineering, and governance, requiring strong ML expertise, Databricks proficiency, and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and ten years of IT experience.
• 5+ years in data science, ML, analytics, or AI/ML engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on with Databricks.
• Experience configuring and administering Databricks Genie.
• Strong Python/SQL/PySpark skills.
• Experience in semantic layers, data models, metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics and ML solutions using Databricks.
• Configure and optimize Databricks Genie spaces for natural language access to data.
• Develop semantic models, metadata, and governance processes for Genie responses.
• Maintain notebooks, workflows, dashboards, and data pipelines in Databricks.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high-quality, governed datasets.
• Support development of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM, and AI-agent use cases with Databricks.
