Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to help build the intelligence and application layers of our AI-native platform. You will work on Genie-powered analytics agents, LLM-driven workflows, and Databricks Apps and Lakebase services, closely collaborating with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software and AI engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered features for Genie analytics agents and LLM-driven workflows.
• Develop and integrate agentic workflows with prompts, tools, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Write Python and SQL against Databricks lakehouse and Lakebase services.
• Collaborate with data engineers and app engineers to move ideas to production.
• Contribute to evaluation, scorecards, and regression checks.
