Dev Technology seeks a skilled Data Scientist to transform how users query enterprise data with AI-powered analytics. The role emphasizes Databricks Databricks Genie and semantic modeling to enable natural language access and Genie-driven insights.

You will join a mission-focused team delivering analytics and application development for federal government projects, leveraging AI, data governance, and governance processes across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; ten years of IT experience.
• 5+ years of data science, machine learning, analytics, or AI/ML engineering.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Experience configuring and administering Databricks Genie.
• Strong Python, SQL, PySpark skills.
• Experience developing semantic models, data governance, and metadata management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Ability to communicate complex analytics to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced analytics and ML solutions using Databricks.
• Configure and optimize Databricks Genie spaces for natural language data access.
• Develop semantic models and governance to improve Genie accuracy.
• Maintain notebooks, workflows, dashboards, and data pipelines in Databricks.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high-quality, governed datasets for Genie and AI apps.
• Support retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM, and AI-agent use cases leveraging Databricks capabilities.
