Job summary

Truist Wealth is seeking a Senior AI Agentic Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support production-grade AI agents and intelligent automation within the Truist Agentic Enterprise (TAE).

You will lead with deep Python expertise, applying LLMs, agent frameworks, and enterprise integrations to deliver observable, secure, and scalable AI solutions, collaborating across product, security, data, and platform teams to raise delivery velocity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education/training.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support production-ready AI agents and intelligent automation solutions.
• Build solutions using LLMs, orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems, APIs, business services, and enterprise data sources.
• Implement agent workflows with tool orchestration, routing, human-in-the-loop controls, and safe fallback mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise applications, services, APIs, and governed data platforms.
• Design and optimize prompts, tool definitions, retrieval strategies, and execution workflows for reliability and performance.
• Contribute to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge grounding, search, and information retrieval capabilities.
• Implement reliability, resiliency, safety controls, monitoring, and escalation workflows.
• Develop automated testing, evaluation, and validation across releases and model updates.
• Instrument solutions with telemetry, logging, and observability for operations.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, platform, security, data, and QA teams.
