Job summary

Sift is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own Sift Agents, working directly with customers to translate workflows into agent capabilities. You will influence product direction from MVP onward and shape cross‑stack features across frontend, APIs, and backend services.

You will build dependable agentic systems, contribute to model integration, and help scale the platform in a hybrid work setting at our Marina Del Rey, CA location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Own a product area: talk to customers, decide what to build, ship it.
• Frontend web apps with React/NextJS or similar.
• APIs or backend services with Go/Python/Rust or similar.
• Curious about new AI products and have opinions on agents and models.

Responsibilities

• Talk to customers and partner with product to translate workflows into agent capabilities.
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems over time-series data and domain context.
• Build tool interfaces, sandboxed execution, memory management, and guardrails for agent code.
• Develop and maintain MCP server to query telemetry for agents and customers’ tools.
• Build and run frontend surfaces, APIs, and scalable agent infrastructure.
• Construct evaluation suites to measure agent impact and monitor quality.
