Job summary

FloQast is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Accountant (FDA) to drive adoption and technical success for the Transform product line with enterprise customers. You will deploy AI Agents, resolve complex challenges, and ensure ROI through automation.

As part of the founding FDA cohort, you’ll shape the blueprint for scaling Transform adoption, working with CFOs, Controllers, and cross-functional teams while traveling up to 60% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, controllership, or finance consulting, including experience in Accounting Manager or Controller roles.
• CPA preferred or equivalent experience in public accounting, audit, or accounting leadership within a corporate environment.
• Experience evaluating, designing, and deploying workflow or process automation within accounting/finance environments.
• Strong technical foundation with SQL, APIs, and data flows concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize issues across integrations, data pipelines, and automation workflows.
• Skilled in leading working sessions with Controllers, Accounting Managers, or RevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operationalize AI Agents that automate complex accounting processes.
• Lead transformation engagements with enterprise accounting teams to diagnose bottlenecks and automate workflows.
• Drive enterprise adoption by engaging with CFOs, Controllers, and stakeholders, guiding workflow redesign and value realization.
• Perform deep technical troubleshooting, including reviewing Python scripts, writing SQL queries, and diagnosing configurations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex integrations and automation logic across data flows.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Account Management to recover at-risk accounts and design adoption plans.
• Influence product direction by providing insights to Product and early feature evaluations.
• Provide leadership and QA for implementation partners to ensure consistent methodology.
• Travel to customer sites up to 60% for deployment, training, and adoption workshops.
• Educate customers and internal teams on AI-enabled accounting transformation and best practices.
