Job summary

TrueNorth Companies in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Senior Account Executive with deep expertise in large commercial accounts to join our Agribusiness practice. You will drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and coordinate across departments to deliver tailored risk management solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial insurance within agriculture, a Property & Casualty license, and a track record of leading complex client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 7+ years commercial insurance experience in Ag space required; 8–10 years preferred.
• P&C license required; captive experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proven fiduciary responsibility and client stewardship.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of insurance industry terms.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship end-to-end across the full lifecycle: onboarding, plans, stewardship, renewals.
• Build executive relationships and act as a trusted advisor to position TrueNorth as a strategic partner.
• Analyze client risk profiles and design coverage strategies integrating risk/workforce solutions.
• Use market analytics to inform board-level decisions and client education on financing strategies.
• Identify cross-sell and growth opportunities; lead RFPs and enterprise risk presentations.
• Lead service teams to Get, Keep, and Grow client engagement; collaborate across departments.
• Travel up to 50% to support client initiatives and industry events.
