Job summary

TrueNorth Companies is seeking an Account Executive to join our Benefits team in Cedar Rapids, IA (or West Des Moines). You will lead benefit strategy, manage client relationships, and negotiate stop loss coverage for self-funded clients in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

This role offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in self-funded health insurance, strong fiduciary awareness, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in self-funded health insurance.
• Fiduciary responsibility experience preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and basic PowerPoint.
• College degree or equivalent; Finance/Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship through onboarding, service, and renewal.
• Identify and resolve coverage, service, and relationship risk.
• Lead conversations on coverage, risk strategy, and long-term planning.
• Coordinate internal teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes and retention.
• Analyze risk, claims data, and market insights to optimize total cost of risk.
• Lead discovery meetings, RFP responses, and enterprise risk presentations.
• Travel as needed to support clients (up to 45%).
