Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney unit in East Hartford, CT is seeking a software engineer who will develop software requirements and designs within an Agile framework and verify software through regression analysis, test descriptions, and robustness testing. The role may evolve to serve as an Agile Scrum Master or be part of the development team.

This US-based position emphasizes safety-critical software and DO-178B knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework.
• Prior safety critical software development experience.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework and decompose system and customer requirements into software requirements and designs.
• Perform software verification within the Agile Framework including regression analysis and test development with traceability.
• Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master and/or part of the Development Team.
