theprojexgroup is seeking a Senior Agile Project Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead Connected Vehicle Development and Delivery Agile teams. You will coach teams, facilitate Quarterly Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect and Adapt workshops, and manage risks and impediments to ensure alignment with schedules, plans, and releases.

Experience as an RTE or Senior Agile PM, strong facilitation and communication skills, and proficiency with Jira are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, project management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional Project and/or Program Management experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading Agile delivery across multiple teams.
• Experience as a Release Train Engineer or Senior Agile Project Manager or comparable role.

Senior Agile Project Manager / Release Train Engineer

OVERVIEW

The Senior Agile Project Manager, also known as the Release Train Engineer (RTE), serves as a leader and coach for Connected Vehicle Development and Delivery Agile teams. The role facilitates Quarterly Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and other Agile processes to help teams deliver value. It manages risks, escalates impediments, promotes continuous improvement, and communicates the status of schedules, quarterly plans, and releases.

The RTE also facilitates meetings between lead business analysts and business systems analysts. They are accountable for scope decisions through Project Management Office (PMO) gate processes. To keep teams and stakeholders aligned, the RTE establishes a consistent way to track and report release status using standardized Jira boards during Weekly Status Review meetings. Before each release, the RTE coordinates preparations with internal and external stakeholders. This role ensures that quality, security, regulatory, and compliance requirements are addressed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, project management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7years of professionalProject and/or Program Management experience.
• Minimum 3 years leading Agile delivery across multiple teams.
• Experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Agile Project Manager, or in a comparable role

• Experience facilitating Quarterly Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and cross team meetings.
• Ability to manage release calendars, project risks, dependencies, impediments, and resource needs across teams.
• Proficiency with Jira boards and Agile metrics to track feature completion, report release status, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Experience working with business analysts, technical managers, architects, and fiinance
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to support release readiness and governance requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates the creation of the application/system and services release calendars
• Facilitates the creation of the agile project/function planning calendar
• Facilitates Quarterly Planning events and readiness by fostering the preparation of Vision and Backlogs
• Produces and shares a quarterly report, including upcoming plans, past recaps, and metrics
• Collates team objectives into Program Release Plan Objectives and shares them for transparency
• Tracks and monitors feature completion
• Facilitates Scrum of Scrums, and Primary BA/BSA Sync's (Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst synchronization meetings)
• Assists in PMO Gateestimation by working closely with finance to translate team sprint data to costs
• Helps manage and resolve risk and dependencies
• Provides recommendations on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
• Encourages collaboration between teams, SMEs and Architects
• Responsible for facilitating and communicating the creation and maintenance of application, system, and services release calendars.
• Reviews and confirms that team metrics are consistently determined and accurately reported across all teams.
• Works with and communicates with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment
• Drivesimprovement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; helps improve the Agile Program agility level
• Attends PMO gate meetings to identify and review upcoming project backlog, ensuring visibility into future initiatives
• Receive prioritization of the project backlog directly from Leadership decisions tracked by the PMO, supporting informed decision-making for project sequencing
• Collaborate with technical managers for Agile team assignments to projects after or at Gateapproval, facilitating timely resource allocation and team formation
• Provides input into project retrospectives to help identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across teams
• Receive prioritization of the project backlog directly from Leadership decisions tracked by the PMO, supporting informed decision-making for project sequencing
• Collaborate with technical managers for Agile team assignments to projects after or at Gateapproval, facilitating timely resource allocation and team formation
• Quarterly updates are delivered through a Quarterly Update Deck,
• detailing planned versus actual work and releases fostering transparency and enabling effective progress tracking across both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• reporting Agile team metrics for previous quarter and over time, comparing SCRUM and KANBAN teams against established goals highlighting trends and areas for improvement

SPECIFICATIONS

• Onsite with Hybrid option after 90 days
• $80-$100Hourly
• This is a 12 month contract with potential to be permanent
• This role does not support a work sponsorship.
• MUST be eligible to work in the US and residelocal to the area
