Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Release Train Engineer in North Carolina to guide Agile Release Trains across multiple teams in a large-scale SAFe environment.

You will facilitate PI Planning, Manage dependencies, coach teams, and report program progress to executives. A minimum of 10+ years in Agile with 5+ years as RTE and SAFe certifications are required.

• Extensive experience in Agile, SAFe, and Scrum frameworks.
• Proven track record leading Agile Release Trains and large programs.
• Strong PI Planning, program execution and dependency management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder and executive communication capabilities.
• Experience with distributed cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead PI Planning and ART events, coordinating multiple teams.

Release Train Engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience and Minimum 5+ years of experience as a RTE with RTE certification.
• Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes.
• Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
• Support Agile teams in adopting and improving SAFe practices.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and program execution.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and delivery commitments.
• Track program progress, milestones, and objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks, impediments, and delivery challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and teams on Agile and SAFe practices.
• Drive Agile maturity and continuous learning across the ART.
• Foster collaboration and high-performing team culture.
• Support release planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Business Owners, and Leadership teams.
• Provide program-level status reporting and executive updates.
• Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution across teams.
• Ensure transparency and alignment across stakeholders.
