Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in New York is seeking a Senior Group Leader to provide program leadership, supervise staff, and ensure safe, engaging afterschool activities from 1pm to 6pm, Monday through Friday, as part of the School Year schedule. Reports to the Program Director.

You will coach GLs, develop lesson plans, track participant records, and help with training, events, and family outreach, while upholding the organization's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Group Leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director in overseeing daily operation of the program.
• Attend staff meetings and required professional development activities.
• In the absence of the Program Director, provide overall leadership and administration of program.
• Plan and facilitate activities that incorporate project-based, integrated and social-emotional learning.
• Coach and train less experienced GLs and staff.
• Maintain participant records, attendance, and program documentation.
