Job summary

Good Shepherd Services in Bronx, NY is seeking an After School Group Leader to oversee a designated group of participants, develop and implement activities, ensure safety, and foster positive youth development.

Responsibilities include planning a sequenced curriculum with literacy and arts, engaging parents, attending trainings, and coordinating with instructors and staff. Must be 18+, High School diploma and 1 year related experience; hours are 2pm-6pm school year, 20 hours per week, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School/GED Diploma is required.
• 1 year related experience in youth group development activities is preferred.
• Must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Overall supervision and management of a designated group of participants.
• Engage participants in after-school activities and model appropriate behavior.
• Ensure safety of participants at all times.
• Develop and facilitate a sequenced curriculum including arts & crafts and literacy integration.
• Plan culminating events and engage parents/guardians as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
