Good Shepherd Services in New York is seeking a Senior Group Leader for the LEAPS program at MS 363 & Creston Campus. The role provides program leadership, supports the Director, coaches other GLs, and ensures safe, engaging afterschool activities 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will plan project-based activities, facilitate social-emotional learning, supervise staff, and maintain participant records while fostering positive relationships with families and school personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Group Leader experience.
• Experience with afterschool programs preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and facilitate activities incorporating project-based and SEL components.
• Lead group conversations and coordinate with staff to support instructors.
• Model professional conduct aligned with GS values.
• Engage in participant/family outreach to boost attendance.
• Maintain records and complete required documentation.
• Prepare sequenced lesson plans and age-appropriate curricula.
