Job summary

Columbus Property Management, a member of Mission First Housing Group, seeks a Compliance Specialist to ensure housing compliance across a portfolio. The role conducts audits, reviews certifications, and supports sites in meeting state and organizational standards.

You will train staff, manage annual recertifications, respond to findings, and prepare annual reports to agencies including PA, NJ, MD, and DC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3+ years in multifamily housing compliance.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Section 8 and Fair Housing regulations.
• Experience with property management software; Yardi preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of files and property documentation to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.
• Review income certifications, rent calculations, and annual recertifications for accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide guidance and training to property managers and leasing staff on eligibility requirements and documentation standards.
• Respond to compliance findings and coordinate corrections with staff to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and submit annual compliance reports to state agencies and regulators in PA, NJ, MD, and DC.
