General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to advance enterprise IT operations. You will lead AFATDS hardware/software familiarity, advise on system design, and mentor artillery operators while ensuring robust security and availability across critical networks.
The role requires a Secret clearance, 10+ years in related fields, and fluency with Windows administration and complex systems integration.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 2 years remaining.
- Prior military experience highly desirable.
- Windows 10+ and Windows Server 2012+ administration.
- Basic networking fundamentals; VMware vSphere knowledge.
Responsabilités
- Install, configure, test, and maintain AFATDS operating systems and tools.
- Initialize, configure, and troubleshoot software interfaces.
- Manage and monitor systems, networks, and infrastructure for optimal performance.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and resilience of IT assets.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate on fixes.
- Maintain system security, backups, and redundancy strategies.
- Prepare weekly/bi-weekly technical and operational reports.
- Provide on-site training and mentorship to artillery operators.
