Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior to support Army NETCOM environments, including NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces. You will design, build, harden, test, and optimize enterprise hardware and software across multiple networks and provide advanced technical mentorship to engineering teams.

The role emphasizes secure configuration management, DISA STIG implementation, and DoDIN/NIPRNET/SIPRNET architecture with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• DoW 8570.1-M certification: IAT Level III (CASP/SecurityX, CISSP, CISA) and Computing Environment Certification.
• Secret to commence work with ability to attain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Strong Linux (RHEL) and security configuration management background.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage/Support secure configuration management across enterprise IT environments.
• Maintain complete configuration management records and system documentation.
• Guide administrators and coordinate changes, compliance, and troubleshooting.
• Identify, audit, and verify CIs, baselines, and relationships.
• Design, build, and deploy enterprise systems across testing, production, and multi-network environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and outcomes.
• Mentor engineering teams and contribute to enterprise planning efforts.
