Job summary

You will build and evaluate infrastructure to support evolving customer needs with a focus on security, reliability, and efficiency. The role emphasizes deployment and configuration of enterprise systems, scripting for automation, and collaboration with upper management to report progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Develop deployment environments mirroring production to mitigate risk in test/evaluation.
• Troubleshooting complex system hardware and software issues.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and GitOps.
• Knowledge of DNS, HTTP, LDAP, ICMP, SSH, and SNMP.
• Networking: VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and addressing schemes.
• System administration: file systems, networks, accounts.
• Repository management, patching, vulnerability remediation.
• Technical documentation including diagrams.
• Zero-trust implementation across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor infrastructure and systems installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance.
• Implement and maintain backup, security, and redundancy strategies.
• Identify issues and implement proactive solutions.
• Craft scripts to reduce manual tasks.
• Enable smarter business processes and develop analytics.
• Provide project status reports to upper management.
• Create and maintain system configuration and process documentation.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house systems.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests for modified and new systems.
• Monitor system performance and deliver performance reports.
• Train end users on new systems.
• Translate high-level requirements into tasks for System Engineers.
• Ensure mission-critical apps are highly available under adverse conditions.
• Promote modern methodologies for efficiency and consistency.
• Contribute to long-term technical vision.
• Evaluate new tools based on existing tools.
