Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to design, develop and implement advanced avionics systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet safety, performance and customer requirements while maintaining high engineering standards.

You will report to the Sr Engineering Manager at the Phoenix, AZ site, operating on a hybrid schedule with an initial 90-day on-site ramp. The role emphasizes EGPWS/TAWS familiarity and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in avionics/aerospace or related fields.
• Proficiency in system-level analysis and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement systems solutions including hardware, software, and network components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and quality.
• Author high-level systems requirements in DOORS and manage requirements.
• Lead system-level analysis, verification, and validation activities.
• Support budgets and schedules; travel up to 10%.
