Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems is seeking an experienced supply chain leader in Kansas to guide a team of up to 20, optimize daily operations, and manage budgets. You will build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across logistics, inventory, and procurement functions.

The role requires deep knowledge of MRP/SAP, strong communication across cross-functional groups, and a track record of achieving cost and efficiency gains in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or management in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, inventory management and demand planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with suppliers and teammates.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive improvements.
• Leadership and team management capabilities to guide a cross-functional team.
• Negotiation and contract management experience with suppliers.
• Proficiency in supply chain software, inventory tools, and data analysis.
• Strong MS Office skills; experience with cross-functional groups.
• Ability to manage projects and time effectively.
• Experience presenting to all levels of the organization and driving change.
• Knowledge of MRP systems; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to a team of up to 20 employees.
• Manage daily activities, budgets, and spend within the area of responsibility.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, and monitor performance.
• Conduct supplier program reviews and visits to ensure demand alignment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand and minimize costs.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely material delivery to work sites.
• Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities; report KPIs.
• Identify process improvements to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
• Address issues in the supply chain and develop RCCA actions.
• Collaborate with operations, program, quality, and finance for alignment.
