Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Manager to lead end-to-end supplier development and onboarding, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will evaluate suppliers, develop action plans, collaborate across functions, and steer the gated management process.

This role requires deep procurement experience, global supplier networks, and travel exceeding 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalently strong experience in sourcing/procurement/supplier development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or related supply chain roles.
• 5+ years of QMS experience with AS9100/ISO 9001/IATF 16949 knowledge and application.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end candidate supplier development and onboarding for assigned commodities, aligning with strategic goals and SQDC improvements.
• Assess potential suppliers through in-depth evaluations of maturity and capabilities; develop action plans for qualification and integration.
• Influence cross-functional teams to execute supplier development, qualification, and onboarding activities on schedule.
• Support enhancement of the gated management process for supplier development and onboarding with best practices and gap analyses.
• Partner with commodities and stakeholders to manage urgent onboarding needs to meet business priorities and customer commitments.
• Travel requirements exceed 50% (domestic and international).
