Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to join the ESTO organization in Middletown, CT. You will execute mechanical design activities, perform analyses, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.

The role involves collaboration with CIPTs/IPMTs/SIPTs, travel up to 10%, and focus on gas turbine hardware, engine builds/teardowns, and continuous improvement in a global aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant design experience.
• Experience in mechanical design engineering within aerospace or gas turbine environments.
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical design activities and coordinate cross-functional tasks.
• Perform mechanical design analyses to verify form, fit, and function.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues.
• Participate in design reviews and RCCA.
• Provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers.
• Travel 10% (domestic/international).
