Job summary

ELYON International is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to drive technical sales, solution development, and customer engagement within the aerospace sector. The role combines deep IT infrastructure knowledge with strong communication, to translate complex requirements into compelling business value.

Travel to customer sites and industry events is required to support proposals, demonstrations, and ongoing account growth across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• IT infrastructure experience is required.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert throughout the sales and business development process.
• Work directly with aerospace customers to understand technical, operational, infrastructure, and business requirements.
• Design and recommend IT infrastructure solutions that align with customer requirements and environments.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions, requirements gathering, solution presentations, and customer demonstrations.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business benefits.
• Provide technical support for proposals, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and statements of work.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, IT, cybersecurity, program management, and delivery teams.
• Evaluate existing customer environments and identify infrastructure requirements and modernization opportunities.
• Support solution development involving servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, cybersecurity, and related enterprise technologies.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders.
• Stay current with aerospace technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in customer meetings, site visits, trade shows, and conferences.
