Job summary

Elyon International is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support technical sales and solution development within the aerospace industry. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer engagement to translate requirements into effective solutions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience and will work closely with customers, sales teams, engineers, and stakeholders to develop, communicate, and demonstrate technical capabilities and business value.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in sales engineering or related field.
• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• IT infrastructure experience is required.
• Experience with enterprise IT infrastructure areas listed below.
• Ability to communicate complex architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Travel to customer sites and events as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead throughout the sales and business development process.
• Work directly with aerospace customers to understand technical, operational, infrastructure, and business requirements.
• Design and recommend IT infrastructure solutions that align with customer needs.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and customer demonstrations.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Provide technical support for proposals, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, statements of work, and other deliverables.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, IT, cybersecurity, program management, and delivery teams.
• Evaluate environments and identify infrastructure requirements and modernization opportunities.
• Support solution development involving servers, networks, storage, virtualization, cloud, cybersecurity, and related tech.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and stay current with aerospace trends.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events as needed.
