Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking a senior Quality Inspector for TLS programs. You will own the Inspection Plan, drive first-article to in-process inspections, and coordinate with QE, line supervisors, and program leadership to set priorities and resolve high-impact issues.

The role requires IPC-620 / IPC-J-STD-001 experience, aerospace cables/harnesses know-how, and Lean Six Sigma familiarity. You will mentor junior inspectors, lead internal and external audits (AS9100, IPC), and

Qualifications

• Experienced with IPC-A-620 and IPC-J-STD-001
• Detail-oriented and proficient at understanding drawings diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents and work instructions
• Experience with aerospace cables and harnesses
• Proficient with common inspections tools and equipment
• Experienced with Quality best practices
• Ability to perform Repair and Rework Inspections
• Ability to perform In-Process Manufacturing Inspections
• Experience following the detailed Inspection plan from the program QE

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality function for TL‑S programs – own and continuously improve the program’s Inspection Plan (daily, in‑process, repair/rework, first‑article) and ensure it adapts to design changes.
• Log, analyze, and close non‑conformances via Q‑Notes; conduct weekly reviews of work‑in‑progress and the non‑conforming‑material rack, highlighting systemic trends for senior leadership.
• Partner with the Quality Engineer, line supervisors, and program leadership to set inspection priorities, allocate resources, and resolve high‑impact issues.
• Plan, coordinate, and lead internal & external audits (AS9100, IPC, command‑media, DCMA); act as the audit liaison for customers and regulatory bodies and produce audit‑readiness reports.
• Own RCCA programs – develop root‑cause investigations, drive corrective‑action implementation, verify preventive‑action effectiveness, and report results.
• Mentor and train junior inspectors, delivering on‑the‑job coaching, inspection‑technique workshops, and performance feedback.
• Define and improve quality processes – author work instructions, inspection workflows, KPI dashboards; integrate LeanSix‑Sigma tools to raise process capability.
